What is Climate Week North East?

CWNE is hosted by NESCAN Hub and is Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire’s yearly programme of events that enable community action and raise awareness, and more importantly, show us what we can all do to make a difference, reduce our carbon footprint and live sustainably so we can tackle climate change and act for nature.

Our environment is changing but we can find joy by taking action and connecting with our local surroundings.

Make a pledge!

All our events focus on reducing carbon emissions, adopting sustainable lifestyles, and promoting biodiversity.

This years key theme is

TAKE ACTION.

Climate Week showcases some of the many actions that local groups and organisations are taking as our communities respond to climate change. You are invited to join in, take part, and to be the change that you want to see in the world by making a pledge and a change to reduce your own carbon emissions.

Let’s make change, together!

Did you know, that simply turning down your thermostat by 1 degree can help reduce your climate emissions?

Discover a diverse range of engaging events during CWNE, all connected by the theme “TAKE ACTION.” From family fun days to nature walks, bike rides to upcycling sessions, guided tours to workshops, and thought-provoking discussions to informative conferences – there’s something for everyone.
